A 25-year-old woman allegedly shot her younger sister in northeast Delhis Shastri Park area on Wednesday evening after the latter allegedly had an affair with her husband, police officials said.Law enforcement authorities were alerted to the incident around 6:30 PM. As details of the incident emerged, authorities shared that the act was prompted by the elder sisters suspicion of an extramarital affair between her spouse and her younger sibling.“It was revealed that a woman shot at her younger sister because she had an affair with her husband,” a police official familiar with the matter told the news outlet Hindustan Times.A criminal case has been registered against the accused under charges of attempted murder and violations of the Arms Act of the Indian Penal Code).Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the matter to gather more information and establish the sequence of events.The accused is yet to be arrested, police officials said.
