In Delhi, a female teacher was injured after she fell from a running auto and was dragged on the road by two-bike borne men in an attempt to snatch her smartphone on Friday, said the police today.

What happened on Friday?

The victim has been identified as Yovika Chaudhary who is a teacher at Gyan Bharti School in South Delhi’s Saket. Reportedly, when she was on her way back home from school two men on a bike tried to snatch her iPhone. While struggling to secure her phone, she then fell off the auto and was dragged for a distance. However, the snatchers managed to flee from the spot of the incident and left Chaudhary injured.

She was then rushed to Saket’s Max Hospital, where she was admitted for further treatment for her fractured nose and other injuries. Currently, she is recovering in the hospital.

Taking notes from the snatching case, a case has been lodged against the duo at the Saket police station. Police are looking into this matter and trying to identify the accused as soon as possible.
