In a tragic incident, a Delhi Police inspector lost his life after his car was struck by a truck from behind near Madipur metro station in Delhis Punjabi Bagh area on Rohtak Road on Sunday morning.The deceased has been identified as Inspector Jagbir Singh, who was currently serving in the Security Unit. Inspector Jagbir Singh had stepped out and was standing beside the vehicle when the truck crashed into it.The driver of the truck responsible for the collision fled the scene, leaving the truck behind, Delhi Police officials said.The police are actively pursuing legal action and making efforts to trace the driver, who left the scene after the tragic accident.
