Delhi and parts of Delhi-NCR witnessed heavy rainfall in the early hours of 23 August relieving the inhabitants of this area from heat and humidity.

The temperature has been recorded as 29 degree Celcius at 6 am on Wednesday with humidity and precipitation at 93% and 19% respectively.

The air quality has been recorded as 124 which falls under the category of unhealthy air. Sensitive groups of people can immediately feel the effects of the poor air quality.

Earlier on Monday the IMD had reported about the shift of the monsoon from its normal position towards north, causing a second wave of monsoon in the Northern part of the country.

Delhi is expected to have light showers for the next few days due to the monsoon shifting northwards following which the weather will resume to be normal and sunny.
