The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that it will issue a special Tourist Smart Card in the wake of the upcoming G20 Summit in New Delhi from September 8 to 10. The card will be sold at 36 stations from September 4 to 13, officials said.Notably, Delhi Metro sells “Tourists Smart Cards on regular days as well but in view of the G20 Summit, dedicated counters have been opened which would be for people for 10 days starting Monday.Delhi Metro will be selling its Tourist Smart Cards from selected Metro stations through dedicated counters for a period of 10 days starting from 4/9/2023, to facilitate G-20 delegates & international visitors who might be interested in exploring the tourist places of Delhi. pic.twitter.com/WnS0KV8prA— Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (@OfficialDMRC) September 3, 2023Details of Delhi Metros special Tourist Smart Card The dedicated counters to sell the special Tourist Smart Card have been provided to facilitate the delegates, coming for the G20 Summit, who might be interested in exploring the prominent tourist places of the national capital.According to DMRC, two types of Tourist Smart Cards will be available– one-day validity and three-day validity. One-day validity cards will be available for ₹ 200, whereas, the three-day validity card will be available for ₹ 500.This amount also includes a refundable security deposit of ₹ 50 and offers unlimited rides in the citys rapid transit system.The 36 stations dedicated to selling these cards include Kashmere Gate, Chandni Chowk, Chawri Bazar, New Delhi, Rajiv chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, Lok Kalyan Marg, Jor Bagh, Dilli Haat – INA, Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, Delhi Gate, ITO, Mandi House, Janpath, Khan Market, JLN Stadium, Jangpura, Lajpat Nagar, Barakhamba Road, RK Ashram Marg, Jandewalan, Supreme Court, Indraprastha, South Extension, Sarojini Nagar, Chhatarpur, Qutub Minar, Hauz Khas, Nehru Place, Kalkaji Mandir, Akshardham, Terminal 1 IGI Airport and Karol Bagh.
