A Delhi man in relation was arrested on Saturday by the Delhi Police in connection to the murder of a 30-year-old Swiss woman. The victims body was recovered from the West Delhis Tilak Nagar area. The Police found the womans body with metal chains tied around her hands and legs her upper portion was covered with a black plastic bag, police said.The accused has been identified as Gurpreet Singh who was in a relationship with the Swiss woman. The two had met in Switzerland and were in a long-distance relationship, according to the police. Gurpreet would also often visit her in Switzerland but suspecting his partner of having an affair he called her to India this time, police said.Delhi man kills Swiss partner suspecting affairThe police have also said that Gurpreet called her to India and planned the murder thinking that the victim was cheating on him.According to the initial interrogation, the police revealed that the accused tied the womans limbs on the pretext of performing a magic trick on her, and then killed her.The body of the Swiss woman was found near the government school in the Tilak Nagar area on Friday morning, police said. CCTV footage of the area helped in the investigation and showed that the body was brought there to be disposed off in a car.The registration number was accessed, and a team traced the vehicles owner. The owner said she had sold the car two months ago, an official said.With the help of the CCTV footage, Gurpreet was eventually traced by the police and they also recovered a sum of Rs 2.25 crore from his house.Further investigations also underway.
