A tragic incident happened at Delhi’s Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) when a student was killed while three others were injured in an accident inside the campus involving a two-wheeler, according to the police.
The information about this accident was received early Sunday from the All Indian Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) at Vasant Kunj police station, said the Delhi Police.
Upon receiving the information, the police immediately rushed to the spot. It was learned that two men, including the deceased, were on a two-wheeler when they rammed into two pedestrians near the Godacari Bus Stop on the JNU campus, said the police.
The student, identified as Anshu Kumar, was declared dead by the doctors at AIIMS.
While, his friend, Vishak Kumar, who was riding a pillion, is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Anshu Kumar was a first-year student of the Russian language at JNU and was residing at Satlu hostel.
Meanwhile, a case has been lodged into this matter under the relevant sections of IPC, they said.
Further, the police are investigating this matter.
