Security has been beefed up in Delhi following the serial blast in Kerala that killed one and injured dozens more on Sunday. The security around the churches and metro stations in the national capital has been tightened in the wake of this incident.
According to the media, a police officer requesting anonymity said that the security around the main markets churches, metro stations, bus stands, railway stations, and other public places have been increased.

The official said that barricades have been placed on the border area of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh side and Police in civilian clothing, riders and PCRs have been asked to stay on alert. They have also been asked to not ignore any information, the official added.
"We are already keeping strict vigil in overcrowded markets. Extra platoon deployment has already been done considering the festival season," the person said.
A series of blasts took place in a convention centre in Kerala where a Christian group was holding a prayer meeting on Sunday. A homemade bomb was used in this act that killed 1 person and injured around 40 people, as per media reports.

The blast occurred during the convention of the Jehovah's Witnesses -- a Christian religious group that originated in the United States of America in the 19th century.
