The chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that the orders for resuming Okhla Water Plant have been given. Notably, the plant was shut down due to rising water levels of the Yamuna River and a flood-like situation because of heavy rainfall in the capital.

Taking it to Twitter, CM announced, “With receding water levels, we are starting Okhla water treatment. Am reaching there to take stock.”

‘We need to do teamwork’: L-G Saxena

The ongoing flooding woes brought the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, who have been trading barbs in the recent past, together as the two briefed the media jointly on the prevailing situation.

L-G Saxena said, “I would like to tell you that this is not the time to blame game or point fingers at each other. Right now, we need to work as a team. I, too, can say a lot of things but this isn’t what we should do at this time.”
