In a tragic incident coming out of East Delhis Madhu Vihar area, a class 11 student of a prominent private school died by suicide on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, police officials said.The student was found hanging in his bathroom, as per the police, who added that the body has been sent to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for postmortem.The Madhu Vihar police station received a call from the students residence at 7:06 AM on Saturday, following which a police team reached the spot and discovered the student hanging in his bathroom with a rope, as per Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (east) Amrutha Guguloth.Police officials further said that a suicide note has been recovered. “The boy has left a note in which he has expressed his frustration for not coming up to the expectations of his parents regarding studies,” DCP Guguloth said.The 16-year-old boy, who was a student of the National Victor School, is survived by his sister, who is a student at Delhi University, and his parents. His father is an architect by profession.An investigation on the matter is underway, police officials confirmed.
