A series of dangerous crime trends have been reported from Delhi, where a senior citizen has been stabbed to death and two others seriously injured in three robberies in southwest Delhi within 10 minutes. The incident happened in the wee hours on Monday.According to the sources, the separate incidents occurred in the Sagarpur area of southwest Delhi. All three accused have been arrested after the swift action taken by the police. As per the preliminary investigation, one of them is a notorious criminal with 42 crime cases against him.Delhi police tweeted, “On the morning of August 7, three different cases of stabbing and robbery in Sagarpur police station area of South-Western district were solved within 10 hours by arresting 3 accused and the vehicle used in the crime, the knife and the cash looted from it. According to the officials, the accused stabbed the old man till he collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead. Police also informed that Chhabras son was out for physiotherapy when the incident happened.In another incident, 70-year-old Om Dutt and 54-year-old Ashok got attacked. Notably, Om Dutt got robbed of ₹500. Both of them are out of danger, according to the officials.A swift response by Delhi police on back-to-back incidents using all the local intelligence inputs helped track down Akshay Kumar, a notorious criminal with 42 cases against him. His aides, Sonu and Vaibhav Srivastava were also arrested. The police officials confirmed that Akshay had confessed to the crimes. Apart from this, the police have also recovered the murder weapon and so have the looted items. Meanwhile, the police are also probing if all the accused were intoxicated during the crimes.
