Two days after Bijarjoy made landfall in the coastal districts of the state as a severe cyclonic storm, union home minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the cyclone-affected parts of Gujarat to assess the situation. Shah will go to the Kutch districts Jakhau port to meet individuals who have been evacuated from coastal areas and are currently staying in shelter homes.In Mandvi, the minister will also meet with the impacted community. Shah will inspect the relief effort in the Bhuj area while in his state. Bhupendra Patel, the states chief executive, and other top officials are anticipated to meet with him.On Thursday night, tropical Biparjoy, a very violent tropical storm with wind speeds between 115 and 125 kmph, crossed the Saurashtra-Kutch coast close to Jakhau Port. This caused power and communication connections in the coastal regions to be disrupted. According to reports, the effects of the storm caused several trees to be uprooted in Bhuj, Kutch. The clearing job was done on Friday by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel.According to the state government, more than 1,000 workers were reportedly restoring power across eight districts of Gujarat on Friday night.Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department, the deep depression is expected to weaken during the next six hours.
