Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the closing ceremony of Kaushal Mahotsav, a skills development program in Lucknow, where he discussed the state’s efforts to promote agriculture and employment opportunities for youth. He said that agriculture was considered a loss-making deal in the past, but today it is being developed in a new way, and the state is working to link youth with employment through the National Skill Development Scheme.

The ceremony to make youth ready for tomorrow

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister also announced plans to introduce a family ID card that would map every family in the state, marking which government schemes they have benefited from. This would help identify families needing housing, toilets, electricity connections, and employment opportunities and provide them with the necessary support.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of skill development, stating that the National Skill Mission has given flight, recognition, and a platform to the feelings of millions of youth. He emphasised the need for mutual coordination between industry and institutions to provide opportunities for youth to explore new avenues.

To this end, the state government recently extended its Memorandum of Understanding with Tata Technologies Limited for 150 ITIs, where 35,000 youth will be trained annually. The Chief Minister said the government would continue supporting this program in the coming years.

Inauguration of brighter future

During the event, the Chief Minister also inaugurated Asia’s largest multi-product paint factory, owned by Berger Group, spread over 37 acres in the Sandila Industrial Area of Hardoi. He emphasised that the Global Investors Summit has helped break the myth that investment is only possible in the NCR region. The state has received proposals worth approximately 35 lakh crores, positioning it as the best investment destination in the country.

Conclusion

The Chief Minister’s emphasis on skill development and job creation reflects the state government’s commitment to building a strong and prosperous Uttar Pradesh. By providing opportunities for youth to learn and grow in their careers, the state is working towards a brighter future for its citizens.

Launching the family ID card is a significant step for the needy. With these initiatives, the state government is taking bold steps to address the challenges of economic growth and development.
