Sant Nirankari Mission, a spiritual organisation, carried out a sanitation campaign on the Sangam beach in Prayagraj with the theme of “clean water, clean mind.” The event was attended by hundreds of volunteers and devotees who participated in cleaning the beach. The event was inaugurated by Saint Shambhunath Tiwari, who emphasised the importance of having a clean mind in addition to clean water.

Clean Water, Clean Mind Campaign

The “Clean Water, Clean Mind” campaign was initiated under the aegis of the 75th Amrit Mahotsav of Independence and the “Amrit Project,” which aims to promote clean water and water conservation. The campaign was organised by the Sant Nirankari Mission, inspired by the teachings of Baba Hardev Singh, under the divine guidance of Nirankari Sadguru Mata Sudiksha Maharaj.

The campaign was carried out simultaneously in more than 1,100 locations in 730 cities across India, focusing on water conservation and cleanliness. In Prayagraj, the campaign was carried out at the Sangam beach, from Qila Ghat to Sangam Nose.

Participation and Cleaning Efforts

Hundreds of volunteers participated in the cleanliness campaign, including Sant Nirankari Seva Dal members. Four teams of brothers and sisters of Seva Dal were formed, and extensive cleaning was carried out at the beach. During the cleaning, garbage was collected at designated places and disposed of by two Cantonment Board trucks and Municipal Corporation vehicles.

The event was a success, and the local, regional director Seva Dal, Sukhdev Singh, guided the volunteers during the campaign. Ashok Kumar Sachdev, the local Zonal Incharge, praised the Sant Nirankari Mission for actively participating in environmental protection and water conservation projects such as the “Oneness One Project” and the “Amrit Project.”

The Sant Nirankari Mission’s cleanliness campaign on the Sangam beach in Prayagraj is a commendable effort towards promoting clean water and water conservation. With the increasing pollution levels in water bodies, such campaigns are necessary to raise awareness and encourage people to take action towards water conservation. The Mission’s initiative to combine spiritual values with environmental awareness is a unique approach that can inspire many to work towards a better and cleaner future.
