Baloda Bazar, Chhattisgarh: In the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Moorkhon Ke Sardar' remark aimed at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the latter responded on Wednesday during a public rally in Baloda Bazar, Chhattisgarh.
Rahul Gandhi, unfazed by the derogatory language, asserted that such abuses make no difference to him as his sole objective is to assist the underprivileged.
Addressing the crowd, Rahul Gandhi stated, "Wherever PM Modi comes, he abuses me... it's good, I am unconcerned, I don't care. I have already told you my goal, which is to provide the same amount of money to the poor that PM Modi gives to Adani."
Rahul Gandhi pledged, "I am counting, you (PM Modi) give one Rupee to Adani, I will give one Rupee to the poor." Undeterred by the verbal sparring, the Wayanad MP underscored his commitment to uplifting the economically challenged.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken a swipe at Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, indirectly referring to him as 'Murkhon Ke Sardar' (leader of the fools). This came in response to Rahul Gandhi's claim about the prevalence of "Made in China" mobile phones in India.
PM Modi criticised the Congress leaders, suggesting they suffer from a 'mental disease' of not acknowledging the accomplishments of fellow countrymen. He expressed bewilderment at their alleged detachment from ground realities, stating, "The leaders of the Congress are flying so high that they can't see the poor on the ground."
Rahul Gandhi's measured response positions him as a leader focused on his welfare agenda, despite the political jibes from the Prime Minister.
