When the most of the officials of Telangana were busy in the Assembly polls in the state on November 30, Andhra Pradesh took charge of Sagar dam and started releasing water which led to intensify the tensions in both the states. Ajay Bhalla, the Union Home Secretary, made the suggestion while speaking with Telangana and Andhra Pradesh via video conference, to which both the states have agreed.Till the time, issue get resolved, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will oversee the dam and make sure that both sides are receiving water in accordance with the agreement in order to prevent additional confrontation.Sources also claim that the centre has convened a meeting with the chief secretaries of both the states on Saturday to discuss the water issue between both the states.
