Body found at Bihar Congress MLA Neetu Singh's house, probe launched: Cops 

Body of a 24-year-old man was found at Congress MLA Neetu Singh's ancestral house in Bihar. Deceased was a relative of Singh.

The body of a man was found at the house of Congress MLA Neetu Singh in Bihar's Narhat village, the police said. The 24-year-old man has been identified as Piyush Singh alias Suddu, son of Tuntun Singh, a distant relative of the Congress leader. 

Police investigation so far have said... 

According to the police, Kumar was not at home when they found the body of the deceased. The information about the body was received on Saturday by the police after which they sent an investigating team, said Ambrish Rahul, Nawada Superintendent of Police (SP). 

Both Nawada Superintendent of Police (SP) Ambrish Rahul, and Rajauli Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Pankaj Kumar reached the house after getting the information about the incident.

The congress MLA is currently in Patna with no family member at the residence where Piyush's body was found, as per the locals. 

The police said that the room where they found the body belonged to Golu Singh, Nitu's nephew.

Moreover, according to the statements of Piyush's mother, Mintu Devi, he had stepped out of the house to meet Golu for a party, who is now absconding. 

Ms Devi alleged, “Someone told me that during the party, Piyush had a fight with Golu and he was locked in the room. I don’t know the reason behind the fight but they must have fought after getting drunk. Later, I came to know that his body was found in the MLA’s house

A probe has been launched by the police on this incident and they are also searching for Golu at the same time. After a thorough investigation at the crime scene with a forensics team and a dog squad till late at night on Saturday, the body of the deceased has also been for post-mortem. 

"Based on preliminary investigation, we suspect Golu Singh. No arrests have been made till now. When the post-mortem is done, we will then come to know the exact time the incident took place," the SP said.
