Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its fifth list of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.

The Central Election Committee of the BJP gave its approval to the following names for the upcoming assembly elections-2023 in Madhya Pradesh.

The BJP has already announced candidates for 228 out of the total 230 Assembly seats in the state. Only two seats are left to be finalised. It is significant that on August 17, the BJP presented the first list, which had 39 names. The second list also contained 39 names. Three Union Ministers and seven MPs received tickets for this. Three of the MLAs on this list had their tickets cancelled. The third list contained just one name.

Soon after the election date was announced, BJP immediately released the fourth list. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the chief minister, was among one of the 25 ministers who received tickets from the BJP in the fourth list. All of the 57 candidates on this list, including the current MLAs, received tickets. The fifth list has now been made public.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its fifth list of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections. This list contains the names of several prominent leaders who will be contesting in the elections.

Notably, this list reveals some surprising decisions made by the party. In the Indore-3 constituency, the incumbent MLA Aakash Vijayvargiya has been denied a ticket, and Rakesh Shukla has been nominated as the candidate in his place.

In addition, Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia, a supporter of Jyotiraditya Scindia, has been fielded once again from the Badora Assembly seat in Guna district.

BJP has also decided not to nominate three ministers in this list. The tickets of Minister OPS Bhadauria, Yashodhara Raje Scindia, and Gaurishankar Bisen have not been renewed. Instead, Gaurishankar Bisen's daughter, Mausami Bisen, has been given a ticket from the Balaghat Assembly seat.

BJP is experimenting with new candidates in several constituencies. For instance, Narendra Prajapati has been fielded from the Mangawan seat, replacing the current MLA Panchulal Prajapati. Ramkhelavan Patel has been named as the BJP candidate for the Amarpatan seat. In Thonthar, Siddharth Tiwari has been nominated as the party's candidate.
