(Update 2:10 pm): More than 30 students were onboard a boat that turned over near Madhupur Patti Ghat along the Bagmati River in Bihar. Eighteen children have been reported missing in this incident which took place in the Muzzafarpur district of the state. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar told reporters that senior district officers, including the District Magistrate, had been directed to the scene of the accident and said aid and support would be given to the childrens families.“Rescue operation is underway… I have asked the District Magistrate concerned to look into the matter with urgency.
