Bihar: Groom thrashed by bride’s family in Gaya for hiding baldness, wearing wig to wedding

Early baldness is one of the biggest nightmares of any man, and movies like Ayushmann Khurana’s ‘Bala’ and Sunny Singh’s ‘Ujda Chaman’ has captured the struggle of bald men in finding love.

A groom-to-be in Bihar’s Gaya attempted to hide his baldness by wearing a wig to his marriage but ended up getting a thrashing from the bride’s family for his deceitful efforts.

Footage from the incident, which took place at the Bajaura village in the Dhobi region of Bihar’s Gaya district, has gone viral on social media.

In the viral footage, the groom, who is wearing a floral marriage turban in what is reportedly his second marriage, can be seen pleading with folded hands to the bride’s relatives. In the second part, the man – who is no more in his wedding attire – is accosted by the bride’s family members.

The angry relatives accuse him of having fake hair, saying, “Show us that you hair is real.” However, the groom, who is visibly distressed, refuses to do that and simply begs for forgiveness.

According to local media reports, the bride’s family took the matter to the village authorities. However, it was solved at the panchayat level, and police authorities were not involved.

According to media reports, the bride is a resident of the Iqbal Nagar area of Gaya. It is unclear if the marriage proceeded or was called off.

According to news outlet Firstpost, the bride’s family was also enraged when it emerged that the groom was attempting to marry the bride while he was already married to another person.
