The temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu was decorated with 15 quintals of flowers today at the opening of one of the portals of Badrinath Dham. The portal opened at 7:10 am, today morning. Reportedly, the portal opened amid Vedic chants (hymns).

It should be highlighted that the Kedarnath Dham portals were opened on Tuesday morning. Dharmacharyas, Pujari Shivling, and Rawal Bhimashankar Linga performed the puja.

Uttarakhand chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, claimed on Tuesday that every effort had been made to ensure pilgrims’ safety and ease during the Char Dham Yatra. The Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra has been made as simple and secure as possible. Social organisations and volunteer groups have also pledged their full support for the yatra. According to the CM, efforts have been made to improve the travel arrangements in light of the expertise gathered from other years.

CM also informed that the yatra is going smoothly in Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. He added that the doors of Lord Badri Vishal will also be opened for the darshan.

Flowers were dropped on the worshippers by helicopter as per Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s orders. After the Kedarnath doors were opened, Chief Minister Dhami is said to have prayed and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the nation and the state.

The chief minister also welcomed the devotees at the Kedarnath and also participated in the food disbursal programme organised by the committee of the temple.

According to the official information, more than 16 lakh registrations for the Yatra have been done so far. The doors for the Kedarnath Dham opened on April 25, while Gangotri and Yamunotri opened the doors for the temple on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on April 22.

Additionally, the chief minister of Uttrakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the service team vehicles to transport pilgrims on the Kedarnath Dham Yatra. For the comfort of the devotees, CM Dhami stated that all arrangements have been made for the Char Dham Yatra. Taking to Twitter, CM Dhami said, “Hail Baba Kedar. The Chief Minister’s Camp Office today flagged off the group of military members departing for Kedarnath Dham in the forthcoming Chardham Yatra 2023. This group will work together to plan Bhandara and other events for the pilgrims visiting Kedarnath Dham.”

The registration process for Char Dham Yatra

The registration for the Char Dham Yatra, which includes Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath has to be done by the passengers only. Significance of Badrinath Dham

A Hindu temple honouring Vishnu is called Badrinath or the Badrinarayana Temple. It is located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand’s town of Badrinath. The temple is one of the 108 Divya holy sanctuaries for Vaishnavas, that are devoted to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Badrinath. Due to the harsh weather in the Himalayan region, it is only open for six months of the year (from the end of April to the beginning of November). Along the banks of the Alaknanda River in Chamoli district’s Garhwal hill ranges, the shrine can be found. With 28 lakh visits in just two months in 2022, it is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in India.
