Update (July 12, 3:14 pm): The body parts of the woman, aged 35 to 40 years, were found at two different places near Geeta Colony bridge.
Talking to the media, Paramaditya, Joint CP, Central Range, said, “Two black polythene bags have been found. One polythene contains the head of the body and the other polythene contains other parts of the body. On the basis of long hair, we are assuming that it is the body of a woman. It is yet to be identified, probe underway.”
DCP Kalsi said that they have registered the murder case at Kotwali Police Station and the matter is under investigation to identify the antecedents of the body. The forensic science laboratory and crime team are at the spot. “Ortho forensics will verify the gender of the deceased and search is ongoing in the area for other evidence,” added Kalsi.
In another incident similar to the horrific Shraddha Walker murder case, Delhi Police on Wednesday recovered the chopped parts of a woman near east Delhi’s Geeta Colony flyover.
According to the information, the police reported about the same at around 9:15 am. The body is yet to be identified as the investigation is still underway.
More details awaited.
