Speaking at the inaugural session of Global Investors Summit 2023 in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has declared that the state has received the investment proposals worth Rs 13 lakh crore in the state. The investment will give the employment opportunity to almost 6 lakh people in the state. The companies who gave the investment proposals in Andhra Pradesh are Reliance, Adani Group, Renew Power, Aditya Birla Group, NTPC and Aurobindo Group among others. Reportedly, Out of 340 proposals, 92 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) involving Rs 11,87,756 crore were signed on Friday and the remaining on Saturday.“It is a proud moment to announce that the state has received 340 investment proposals with an investment of about Rs 13 lakh crore providing employment to almost six lakh people across 20 sectors,” he said.During the valedictory ceremony, he said that the agreements were signed in 20 sectors, out of which the energy sector signed 40 deals worth Rs 8.84 lakh crore which will have the potential to create 1.9 lakh jobs. 56 Memorandums of Understanding were signed, amounting to Rs 25,587 crore of investments in the IT and ITES sector, and will generate employment for 1,04,442 people. Apart from this, 117 agreements have been inked for an investment to the tune of Rs 22,096 crore, in the tourism sector, that will create employment for 30,787 people,” said added.He lauded that in coming days Vishakhapatnam would become the executive capital of the state and he will be soon moving thereEnergy department has bagged the 35 investment proposals worth Rs 8.25 lakh crore. According to sources, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries Limited, said that his company will invest in 10 Giga Watt renewable solar energy in the state.While addressing the businessmen at the Summit he said that his government is sharing the opportunities Andhra Pradesh has to offer while emphasising on a healthy competition and long-term partnership.Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway, also highlighted the ongoing infrastructure projects, totalling 2,014 km and costing Rs 33,540 crore in Andhra Pradesh, “that will enhance the states attractiveness as an investment destination.” He also added that efforts are being made to make five green highways and two expressways at total cost of Rs 32,420 crore. He added that Multimodal Logistics Parks have been sanctioned in Anantapur and Vishakhapatnam at cost of Rs 1,797 crore.While addressing the investors he said that his government is committed to facilitate a business-friendly environment and would ensure sustainable economic development. “We will facilitate the most conducive business ecosystem. We are only a phone call away for whatever you need,” he added.He said that Visakhapatnam is a city known not only for industrial strengths but also for its beauty and serene landscape. The Chief Minister stated that it has now emerged as strong economic hub with the presence of multiple public and private sector units, port led infrastructure and a tourist hotspot.He added that 2023 will be an important year for India as the country will be hosting the G20 summit with the theme one earth one family one future. He pointed out that Visakhapatnam will also be hosting one of the important G20 working committee meetings as well.The Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy also lauded that state is emerged as the fastest-growing in India, with the growth rate of 11.43 percent in gross state domestic product in 2021-22.The chief minister said the growth of Andhra Pradesh was based on four pillars– promotion of green energy, industrial and logistics infrastructure, digitalisation and skilled and enterprising manpower.
