New Delhi: An American woman was traveling with a young man from Uttar Pradesh via the local roadways bus in Etawah. The co-passengers suspected that something was not right seeing the unusual couple in the area and alerted the police officials. She was held by the police on the grounds of suspicious foul play and deceit reported by the people around her. Their connection as friends stemmed from playing online games, the American woman and the man got into a row with UP police while they were both traveling from the young mans village in Etawah District. They had to go through long hours of questioning by the police on Thursday night. 26-year-old Brooklyn Carneal from Florida, US, became friends with Himanshu Yadav. 21-years-old while playing the online game PUB-G for the past few months. Brooklyn had come to India three months ago and has been staying with her friend in Chandigarh since then. While playing the game, she got to know Himanshu and became friends.Double troubleThe duo was traveling to the village of Himanshu together, and the passengers grew suspicious of how unusual it was to see an American woman with a youth from UP. So, they put up a complaint to the UP roadways officials, who called the police, claiming that the woman was being taken somewhere without her consent. Police interrogation reveals truthAs the police arrived, both of them were taken for questioning, which lasted for around 12 hours. Upon questioning, the American claimed that they were just friends and came to Etawah with him. He had been staying with his relatives for the past 3 days, and he had not done anything wrong. Himanshu had a similar response where he said that his family lives in Faridabad and they perform menial jobs to earn. He became friends with Brooklyn through online games, and they were coming back to Delhi. After interrogation and questioning, it was concluded that there was nothing wrong.
