A horrific incident that was reported from Mumbai on September 4, where a 24-year-old woman air-hostess found dead with throat slit, has taken a new turn now. The case was registered with police, in which they took the accused into 3-day custody, has committed suicide in the lock-up.

According to the Mumbai police, the accused Vikram who was arrested in connection with the murder of an air hostess, died by suicide in the lock-up, accused hanged himself with the help of his pants. And now, his body has been sent for post-mortem.  

The investigation in the case is still on.

What was the case all about?

The accused housekeeping staffer Vikram Atwal, who allegedly killed Airhostess Rupal Ogrey at her Marol flat on Sunday, was produced before Andheri court on Tuesday was remanded in for 3-day police custody up to September 8. The accused was successful in taking entry in to Rupal’s flat under the pretext of cleaning the toilet.

He then tried to take benefit of being alone and tried to threat the victim with a knife. However, the victim put up strong resistance. During the incident, Vikram himself sustained some injuries on his hands, but somehow the accused managed to slash her neck, causing her to fall in the bathroom. He then, after cleaning the blood and fled the spot.

But, soon after police was succeeded in arresting the accused.
