Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, BJP’s Pradipsinh Vaghela resigns as Gujarat general secretary

BJP’s (Bharatiya Janata Party) Pradipsinh Vaghela resigned as the Gujarat general secretary today, said the party officials. Announcing his shocking decision, Vaghela said to people that ‘everything will be alright in a few days.’

He had been appointed as the general secretary of the state BJP on August 10, 2016.

The announcement comes just months before the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan

Recently, Gujarat BJP conducted a ‘Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ or mass contact programme, wherein it organised gatherings of intellectuals and conventions of different business communities among other things.

Under this initiative, the party has organised 100 gatherings of intellectual citizens, conventions of different business communities, events by various cells of the state BJP and large rallies in all 26 Lok Sabha constituencies.
