An undated video footage of another teacher expressing similar sentiments has surfaced online amid the continuing controversy over the firing of Karan Sangwan by education-tech company Unacademy for his comment to vote for educated candidates during a lecture.

The video clip shows the faculty at ed-tech platform called ICS Coaching Centre, which also has a YouTube channel – ‘ICS A to Z’. ‘Babita madam, who is among one of the popular teachers at ed-tech platform can be heard saying in one of her lectures, “…when you’re going to vote…remember that you will hand them the responsibility for five years with aspects such as jobs, recruitment, standards of schools and colleges…this is why it is very important that educated people enter politics…”

“It’s a big question who to vote for,” she continues in the clip. “First, we used to believe that the Congress party was excellent…From 2004 through 2014, we gave them the nation, but the populace was dissatisfied…Between 2014 to 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party was in power. But when the elections come around, they’ll all raise the same old problems…compulsion… Ram Mandir. Election campaigning will include references to religion, and candidates will look up each other’s histories of corruption…yet no one will dispute the claim that, if elected, will they guarantee health, colleges, and schools.”

In the video, she can be heard saying that India is among one of the most populated countries and it is important that there is an employment opportunity for everyone, otherwise, unemployed people may find out other ways to survive, like chaos or crime.

It is to be noted here that the faculty member at Unacademy, Karan Sangwan has also been sacked for making similar kind of remarks.
