The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is implementing all the necessary efforts to make commuters travel conveniently, whether it’s about safe or fast travel experiences. Now, the DMRC has launched a dedicated mobile app – ‘DMRC TRAVEL,’ for its commuters that will help to generate convenient and hassle-free mobile QR tickets for travelling across the national capital.

DMRC launches new mobile app – ‘DMRC TRAVEL’

The application has formally launched on Monday (July 02) by the Managing Director of DMRC, Dr Vikas Kumar from the headquarters at Metro Bhawan. Several senior officials were also present at the time of the launching ceremony.

Now, Delhi Metro passengers can easily purchase tickets directly from their mobile phones

through this latest application. It will eliminate the need to go to ticket counters/vending machines or stand in long queues.

With the DMRC TRAVEL app, the passenger can experience a quick and efficient ticketing process, which will also be valuable for the pockets during their journey.

What are the specifications of the DMRC TRAVEL app?

Taking note of its specifications, the DMRC TRAVEL application supports several modes of payments, including UPI, credit/debit cards, wallets, etc, ensuring convenience and flexibility for the users. Passengers can choose their preferred payment option and easily complete the transaction within the app itself.

That’s not it, this application has other features also like a travel planner, fare calculator, station information, and whatnot, it is indeed a passenger-centric app.

The DMRC TRAVEL application is now an application for Android users, however, very soon iOS users can also download the application. The passenger can download it from the various app stores and explore its features and benefits.

How to travel with a QR ticket?

Now, here’s the interesting part, how to do the process? Once the payment is completed, the app will generate a mobile QR ticket. Present this QR ticket at the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gate for entry and exit during your travel.

The DMRC has already upgraded over 60 per cent of its AFC gates with QR code scanners and the remaining are also targeted to be covered within the upcoming 1-2 months.
