An IndiGo plane, travelling from Lucknow to Abu Dhabi, made an emergency landing at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Saturday after a suspected hydraulic failure. The flight, with nearly 155 passengers onboard, landed in the national capital at 10.42 pm.
A similar incident happened two weeks ago, when a Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at Bhubaneshwar airport shortly after taking off when it was hit by a bird.
In August, another IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at Maharashtra’s Nagpur airport due to a passenger’s medical emergency. The passenger on the Mumbai to Ranchi IndiGo flight started vomiting blood. Even though he was taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his illness.
