According to the official information, former Aam Aadmi Party leader Satyendar Jain has been hospitalised after he slipped and fell in the bathroom of Tihar Jail on Thursday morning at around 6 am.Notably, he has been detained in Tihar Jail since last year.AAP leader Raghav Chadha, taking to Twitter stated that it is ironic that a former heath and family welfare minister is fighting for his life in hospital. The official further added that under trial prisoner Satyendar Jain slipped and fell in the bathroom of the medical inspection room of the hospital of Central Jail (CJ-7), where he was kept under observation.Jain is now admitted to Deen Dayal Hospital after he complained about pain in his back, left leg and shoulder.The most recent MRI, performed on May 3, revealed degradation in all of Satyendar Jains intervertebral discs, prompting the recommendation of immediate spine surgery and appropriate post-operative care by the medical professionals.AAP reported that Jain has been placed as number 416 on a waiting list by Tihar authorities and will likely be able to have the procedure only after an additional five months have passed.According to reports, Jain has submitted a Supreme Court petition asking for bail in the suspected money laundering case against him. He is contesting the Delhi High Courts decision to deny his bail request.
