A shocking case of forgery in education has come to light in the Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. A fake teacher, identified as Amita Shukla, was caught in the village Baral ki Madhaiya of the Gulavathi area. The investigation revealed that two other women also worked as teachers in Balrampur and Siddharthnagar on the same educational certificates as Amita Shukla. The real Amita Shukla is a resident of district Fatehpur.
The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh conducted the investigation. It found that the fake teacher had been working in Bulandshahr since 2014, first in Unchagaon block, then Agouta, and finally in village Baral of Gulavathi block. All her educational certificates were verified, revealing they were from Fatehpur, not Bulandshahr.
The certificates of all three Amita Shuklas are the same, including their high school, intermediate, and graduation certificates, with all their marks being identical. The fake teacher’s documents were found to be from Fatehpur Khakheru, including her intermediate marksheet from Chaudhary Shiv Sahayak Singh Inter College Fatehpur. Other documents also belong to Fatehpur district and have been forged.
The salary of the fake teacher has been stopped, and a notice has been given to her. She cited medical reasons in her defence but will soon be sacked, and an FIR will be lodged against her. Basic Education Officer BK Sharma said that the matter of employment at three places in the name of fake teacher Amita Shukla has come to their notice, and preparations are being made to dismiss her. He will send the STF report to the Director General of Schools.
The real Amita Shukla, an assistant teacher at Bijaipur Primary School, Barha, Fatehpur, has nothing to do with the forgery case. Her certificates are genuine and belong to Fatehpur. According to the Basic Education Officer, the documents of the fake Amita Shukla’s daughter, Brahmadutt Shukla, are from Fatehpur Khakheru. The intermediate marksheet is of Chaudhary Shiv Sahayak Singh Inter College Fatehpur, and other documents also belong to the same district.
The case of Amita Shukla highlights the grave issue of forgery in the education sector in Uttar Pradesh. The STF investigation found two other women working as teachers on the same fake educational certificates. Background checks and document verification during recruitment in the education sector are crucial, and strict action must be taken to maintain the system’s integrity and ensure student safety.
