3 members of same family die due to electrocution in Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari

At least three people, including a pregnant woman, died due to electrocution near Attoor of Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Ashwin, Chihra and Athira.

Briefing about the incident, Kanyakumari Police officials said, “During the rainfall last evening, unfortunately, street lights electric wire fell on the adjacent building wall in which Ashwin kept his hand he was electrocuted. Noticing this, when his mother Chitra and sister Aathira tried to save him they both got electrocuted and all three died.”

Upon receiving the information, Thiruvattar Police reached the spot to investigate the matter.

Case filed

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
