In Delhis Karawal Nagar area, a 25-year-old man was stabbed multiple times and bludgeoned to death with a slab by three people in the wee hours of Wednesday, said the police.3 assailants stab man in Delhis Karawal Nagar areaBriefing about the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey said that this episode occurred around 2 am near the Ramlila ground in the area where Deepak, who was on a motorcycle, was intercepted by the assailants.The victim, identified as Deepak, was a resident of Shiv Vihar in Karawal Nagar, said the police.The visuals of CCTV footage have gone viral on the internet now, where three people can be seen assaulting him.Whats in the viral videoIn the 29-second video, one of the accused attacked Deepak. He was later joined by another person who kicked the victims chest while the third person came there with a slab in his hand to attack the victim.Despite, the video has surfaced all over the internet, the media still could not verify the authenticity of the video.According to the DCP, CCTV footage showed the trio stabbed Deepak multiple times and crushed his head with the slab. The victim was rushed to the GTB Hospital, where he was declared dead.Following the incident, a case of murder is being registered and efforts are on to identify the assailants, police said, adding that further investigation was underway.
