A 25-year-old man from Karawal Nagar in north-east Delhi was stabbed to death in the early hours of Wednesday, October 4. A case has been registered and a probe has begun, police said.The victim has been identified as Deepak Kumar who was a resident of Shiv Vihar, said Joy Tirkey, the Deputy commissioner of police of northeast Delhi.Kumar was rushed to the hospital after the police control room received a call at 2.15 a.m. about a man lying in a pool of blood.The police started an investigation immediately to find the cause of this murder and the CCTV footage of the area was scanned to ascertain the sequence of events as well as find the identity of those involved.As per reports, Kumar was riding a motorbike when he was intercepted by three unidentified men.“CCTV footage shows that they stabbed him multiple times and also crushed his head with a slab,” Tirkey said.He also said that the father of the victim is a mason and further investigations are underway.
