'Don't comment on...': CM Biren Singh urges newly-appointed Mizoram CM

The chief minister of Manipur, Biren Singh asserted that the neigbouring states should refrain from interfering in Manipur’s internal matters.

As Manipur has been witnessing violence since May 3, commenting on same during an interview, the newly elected chief minister of Mizoram Lalduhoma had claimed that Tribals in Manipur were not being treated properly.

Responding to this while speaking to ANI on Tuesday, N Biren Singh, the chief minister of Manipur asked the Lalduhoma not to interfere in the internal matters of the state. 

Citing Lalduhoma's comments, Singh said "It is beyond the Constitution because it is an internal matter of the Manipur government. He does not know what is happening in Moreh."

"I never commented when the Bru issue happened in Mizoram, so please pray and help us restore normalcy in Manipur," the Manipur CM added.

It is to be noted here that following a series of clashes between two communities in Manipur, the state government to take charge of the Special Investigation Teams (SITs) constituted for violent incidents that took place in Manipur in recent months.
