Rohit Sharma set the game on fire against Pakistan in the twelfth match in the ongoing World Cup 2023 match at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Sachin Tendulkar took a jibe on India’s 7-wicket victory against Pakistan. Rohit Sharma played a brilliant knock of 86 that helped India outperform their arch-rivals in the multinational event. Tendulkar took down former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar on microblogging platform X with the caption, “My friend, aap ka advice follow kiya aur sab kuch billlkoool THANDA rakha”.

Shoaib Akhtar’s cheeky post

The story began when Shoaib Akhtar posted a cheeky post on social media platforms on the eve of the highly anticipated World Cup clash as part of a promotional campaign. The Pakistani pacer shared a throwback photo of him dismissing legendary Indian batter Tendulkar with the caption, “Kal agar asa kuch kerna hai, toh #ThandRakh”.

Master Blaster’s post came after India beat Pakistan in a one-sided match against Pakistan. After bundling Pakistan for just 191, India chased down the target in just 30.3 overs, helped by Rohit Sharma’s sensational knock of 86 off just 63 balls.

Former Indian cricket leader, Sachin Tendulkar was the center of attention at the Narendra Modi Stadium, who also is the ICC’s ambassador for the World Cup 2023 on Saturday.
