After New Zealand won the opening match against defending champion England by nine wickets in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi stadium, now Hyderabad is gearing up to host the 2nd match of the ODI World Cup 2023 – Pakistan vs Netherlands (PAK vs NED) on Friday. The match will take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, beginning from 02:00 pm today. However, the toss will happen at 01:30 pm.

This will be the second match of Pakistan in Hyderabad after playing a warm-up match with Australia in the ‘city of pearls.’ Although, the warm-ups saw Babar Azam-led team lose by six overs to spare after posting 345 against New Zealand, before conceding 351 against Australia. However, they are all set to take down the ‘Flying Dutchmen.’

Meanwhile, the Netherlands are the only Associate nation in this tournament. They made their debut back in 1996, and since then they lost all five matches played. During the qualifiers, they announced themselves with a statement win over West Indies in a Super Over after scores were tied at 374.

The warm-ups of the Netherlands were affected by rain, with one completely washed out. Well, the team will be looking to send out a strong message of their presence with a victory over Pakistan.

According to AccuWeather, the weather conditions in Hyderabad are set to be hot and dry. Also, there is no probability of rain and thunderstorms in the city today.

As per the weather agency, the temperature is expected to range between 36 degrees to 33 degrees Celsius and winds are expected to blow at the speed of around 15 km/hr in the north-north-west direction in the day and 9 km/hour north-west at night. The possibility of wind gusts with a speed of 32 km/h in the daytime and 19km/h at night cannot be ruled out. The probability of cloud cover is 52%.
