Netherlands has taken down Bangladesh in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday. The Netherlands has managed to defend 229 runs in the twenty-eight match of the multinational event by handing 87 runs defeat to Bangladesh.

Dutch's skipper Scott Edwards won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bowl first, where the Netherlands posted 229 runs helped by Edwards' fifty. Chasing the target, Bangladesh fell 87 runs short and was bundled out for 142 runs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the top scorer of the second innings, who scored 35 runs. Paul van Meekeren was the pick of bowlers from the Netherlands side, who scalped a 4-wicket haul. He received the 'Player of the match award' for his brilliant bowling display.
