In the highly anticipated clash, India and Australia are locking horns in the final clash of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. India lost three early wickets in the first powerplay, despite a fiery start. 'Men in Blue' lost their first wicket as Shubman Gill was dismissed as he tried to play a short-arm jab pull shot off Mitchell Starc's delivery. India was 30/1 in 4.2 overs.

Then Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli combined to add a quick 46 runs off 32 deliveries for the second wicket. India lost another wicket in the powerplay as the skipper perished in the process to take on Glenn Maxwell. A brilliant catch by Tarvis Head dismissed Rohit's innings. He scored 47 runs on 31 deliveries including four boundaries and three maximums. India was reduced to 76/2 in 9.4 overs.

The aggressive approach cost another wicket as Shreyas Iyer was dismissed on the third ball of his innings. Cummins scalped Iyer's wicket to sink innings further. India was 81/3 in 10.2 overs.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are hustling in the middle. Earlier, Australian skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and invited Rohit's men to bat first.
