World Cup 2023 IND vs AUS: ICC reveals elite commentators panel for final clash

The iconic voice of Ravi Shastri will feature in the toss event while Nasser Hussain and Sanjay Manjrekar will throw the light on playing conditions of pitch in Ahmedabad.

Ahead of the highly anticipated clash between India and Australia, ICC revealed a commentary panel consisting of stalwarts and experts of the game for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.

The list includes Aaron Finch, Kass Naidoo, Ravi Shastri, Ian Smith, Ricky Ponting, Sanjay Manjrekar, Nasser Hussain, Harsha Bhogle, Dinesh Karthik, Matthew Hayden, Eoin Morgan, Ian Bishop, Shane Watson, Sunil Gavaskar and Mark Howard. These cricket geniuses will bring world-class coverage to the screen across the world.

Ravi Shastri will host the toss event

The iconic voice of Ravi Shastri will feature in the toss event while Nasser Hussain and Sanjay Manjrekar will throw the light on playing conditions of pitch in Ahmedabad.

Umpires for the final

Earlier on Friday, ICC announced the match officials for the grand finale of the event. Richard Illingworth and Richard Kettleborough were named as the on-field umpires while Joel Wilson will be the third umpire. Chris Gaffaney was handed the responsibility of fourth umpire and Match Referee Andy Pycroft will overlook the World Cup 2023 Final.

Final's journey

India and Australia will lock horns in the final which will be a repeatation of the 2003 edition of the World Cup. The hosts India have been unstoppable so far by winning all of their matches in the tournament.

On the other hand, Australia lost the first two opening matches and found themselves at the bottom of the table. However, Australia bounced back quickly and won all of its remaining matches.
