The chase got off to a frenetic start for 'Men in Blue', with David Warner edging the first ball through the slip cordon and hammering 15 runs in a thrilling first over. The drama went on as Mohammed Shami dismissed David Warner in the second over.
Indian speedsters were breathing fire by dismissing David Warner (7), Mitchell Marsh (15), and Steven Smith (4) in the powerplay, reducing the team's total to 47/3 inside in seven overs, with Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah taking the wickets.

It looked like India had the upper hand in the game, but a superb partnership between Head and Marnus Labuschagne took the game away from India. Travis Head smashing a stunning century, and Labuschagne playing the foil at the other end, does the rest to ensure the win.

Head couldn't finish the game as he was caught in the deep with just one run needed to win the game and received a standing ovation from the teammates. He scored 137 runs off 120 deliveries, departing to a standing ovation from his teammates. Glenn Maxwell scored the winning runs as Australia claimed victory with six wickets and seven overs to spare.

Earlier in the innings, Australian bowling attack combined to turn the screw after a fast-paced powerplay where India hammered 80 runs despite losing a couple of wickets. The Australian pacer, led by Mitchell Starc, bowled India out for 240.
