Earlier in the innings, Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Bangladesh posted 306/8 in 50 overs after the complete batting performance in the 43rd match of the ongoing tournament.

Towhid Hridoy was the top scorer of his side, who scored 74 runs off 79 deliveries including 5 boundaries and 2 maximums.
Australia won by 8 wickets on the back of Mitchell Marsh's carrier's best innings of 177 runs off 132 deliveries. He hammered 17 boundaries and 9 maximums in his innings.
