The Indian womens hockey team continued its winning streak at the Asian Games 2023 with a thumping 6 -0 win over Malaysia at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park in Hangzhou, on Friday.Monika, Deep Grace Ekka, Nisha, Vaishnavi Phalke, Sangita Kumariinute, and Lalremsiami scored one goal each in the 7th, 8th, 11th, 15th, 24th, and 50th minutes respectively to qualify for the semi-finals. With the win, the Indian womens hockey team secured the top position in Pool A. The first quarter ended 4-0 in Indias favour.India continued to exert pressure in the second half on the Malaysian backline. After a brief resistance from the Malaysian defense, India found their way back into the game with Sangita Kumari scoring for the Indian side.After half-time, the Indian team completely controlled the game and added another goal after Lalremsiami scored in the 50th minute in the final quarter to wrap up the game.
