After losing Wimbledon to Carlos Alcaraz after a thrilling final match, Novak Djokovic teared up when addressing his wife and children among the crowd on Centre Court.

Djokovic had been beaten by the World No. 1 ranked Carlos Alcaraz in an exciting game in which the Serb won the opening set, but lost after the Spaniard fought his way back to clinch his first Wimbledon title.

After the game, Djokovic was asked by BBC presenter Annabel Croft if he had any words for his team. Looking at the Centre Court crowd, Djokovic spotted his wife Jelena and his eight-year-old son Stefan in the stands.

“It is nice to see my son still there, still smiling,” the Serb said, which led to a round of applause for his son from the crowd. This led to Djokovic being visibly overcome with emotion and tearing up, before saying, “I love you. Thank you for supporting me. I will give you a big hug and we can all love each other.”

Even Jelana Djokovic could not help but tear up at the gesture.
