Ibrahim Zadran smashed a record-breaking century in Champions Trophy match on this wednesday which helped to set up a thrilling win of Afghanistan against England.

Back foot to a thriller win

A pacer of England Jofra Archer had left Afghanistan teeter by landing three blows inside of the powerplay. After opting to bat first Afghanistan in second match of Champions Trophy played in back foot on Wednesday. Then Ibrahim Zadran a 23-year old took it on himself to achieve slide and glide of his team.

Zadran broke the Chapions Trophy record

Not just out of trouble but also made it happened to put his team in a dominant spot from where they started their push for a thrilling win with eight-runs.Ibrahim Zadran broke the Chapions Trophy record on wednesday for the hisghest ever idividual total by a batter set made few days ago by England's Ben Duckett. Ibrahim scored a huge 177 off 146, the innings which featured 12 fours and 6 sixes and fell in final over before match finished with 325/7 from their 50 overs.

Early life of Ibrahim Zardan

Zardan was born on December 12th, 2001, in Kabul. He grew up playing cricket alongside his Afghanistan teammate Mujeeb-Ur-Raham. In an interview the rising star cricketer said that as a kid he use to play cricket in garden with family member. After watching Afghanistan making their debut in ICC tournament at the 2010 T20 World Cup, He got so admired that he began pursuing cricket seriously by joining an academy. Zardan used to watch a lot of international cricket to sharpen his skills learning from Sachin Tendulkar, Sangakkara Kumar and current Indian Cricket stars like Virat kolhi and Rohit Sharma.

Career life of Zardan 

Ibrahim was a part of Afghanistan's two under 19 World Cup campaignsand he began making his name soon enough. After his debut in ODI against west Indies in Lucknow in November 2019, his next appreance in the format came in February 2022. During the time of national side he worked on his physical and mental fitness. Once back into the national setup zardan made a  sharp roaring comeback, peeling off four hundreds between june 2022 and July 2023 and since then he hasn't looked back.

What Zardan is known for? 

Ibrahim is well known for his technical skills and ability to absorb pressure, and he also gave a perfect example this on this Wednesday becoming the first ever Afghan who managed to score a century in Champions Trophy.
