New Delhi: India Champions emerged victorious in the inaugural World Championship of Legends 2024, led by Yuvraj Singh. They defeated Pakistan Champions in a thrilling final at Edgbaston, United Kingdom. India secured a convincing 5-wicket win, effortlessly chasing down 157 runs target.

Irfan Pathan secured the victory with a boundary off Sohail Tanvir in the final over, leading India as the champions of the tournament and bringing the exciting League of Legends competition to an end.

After opting to bat first, Pakistan Champions struggled to make an impact as their top-order batter fell against India's exceptional bowling attack which was virtually flawless throughout the match. The Indian bowlers, expertly combining spin and pace, put the Pakistani batter under immense pressure, restricting them to 79/4 in just 11.3 overs.

The intense India-Pakistan rivalry brought out the best in the players, with Vinay Kumar and Irfan Pathan expressing their emotions after taking crucial wickets. This highlighted the high stakes and passion involved in this iconic matchup.

Pakistan's lower-order batter failed to contribute significantly, allowing India to limit their total to 159 runs. India's batter then made light work of the target, starting strongly with an opening partnership of 34 between Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu. 

Although Uthappa and Suresh Raina fell in succession, Rayudu's scores of 50 and Yusuf Pathan's rapid 30 off 16 kept India on track. Irfan Pathan established the victory with a boundary off Sohail Tanvir, securing a convincing 5-wicket win for India, despite Pakistan's reputation as the tournament's best bowling side.
