There is always excitement when the two neighbours, India and Pakistan play against each other in a cricket match. Their rivalry is known throughout the cricket universe. However, this enmity is only limited to the field as the members of the two teams can be seen having some fun and light moments together before their scheduled match on Saturday for Asia Cup, according to a post uploaded by Cricket Pakistan on X (formerly known as Twitter).

In the video uploaded by Cricket Pakistan, both teams can be seen interacting with each other. Virat Kohli greeted Haris Rauf on the field and also interacted with Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan near the dressing rooms. The two skippers Rohit Sharma of India and Babar Azam of Pakistan were also seen talking to each other on the other side of the batting nets.

Rohit Sharma speaks on India-Pak rivalry

Rohit was asked in an interview earlier if the Asia Cup tournament will see India vs Pakistan in finals to which the Indian skipper praised the team and said that there is a probability for that to happen in this tournament.

The Pakistan cricket team had secured the first position in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings ahead of the Asia Cup while India ranks third.

There is much excitement for this match in both nations as the rivalry between India and Pakistan can be traced back to the partition of 1947. Commenting on the two country’s relationship in cricket Rohit Sharma said “Rivalry is there for people to talk about. As a team, what we see is we have an opposition to play tomorrow and see what we want to do. What is going to help us is to keep doing the right things on the field. There are six very competitive teams in the Asia Cup and on a given day anyone can beat anyone.”

The match on Saturday is scheduled to take place from 3 pm on Saturday in the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
