An American woman tragically lost her life while traveling aboard in American Airlines Flight 2790 from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, to Charlotte, North Carolina. The distressing incident occurred when the 41-year-old passenger, identified by family members as a mother of two from Indiana, fell suddenly ill during the flight, as reported by The New York Post.

The flight crew diverted the aircraft to Providenciales International Airport in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Despite their efforts to assist the woman and the swift arrival of medical personnel upon landing, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at the local hospital. The Royal Turks and Caicos Island Police Force confirmed the incident, mentioning that a post-mortem examination would be conducted to determine the cause of death.

According to a Facebook post, the Police Control Room received a distress call from the Air Traffic Control Tower, seeking medical assistance for the 41-year-old female passenger, who was undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the time of the call.

While the deceased's official identification is pending, a woman identified as Stephanie Quinn took to Facebook to express her grief, revealing that the passenger was her sister-in-law. Quinn described her sister-in-law as a cherished member of the family, a loving mother of two children, and the only girl among her siblings.

Expressing profound sadness and disbelief, Quinn pleaded for her sister-in-law to be taken care of as she made her final journey home. Despite attempts to reach Quinn for further comment, she was unavailable at the time of reporting.
