In the men’s triple jump final, Praveen Chithravel narrowly surpassed fellow competitor Abdulla Aboobacker to clinch the bronze medal on Tuesday.

Praveen achieved his best jump of 16.68 meters, securing third place. He fell behind the hosts, China’s Yaming Zhu and Yaoqing Fang, who took home the gold and silver medals respectively. Both faced disqualifications on their respective third attempts. In the subsequent jumps, Aboobacker managed distances of 16.45 meters, 16.35 meters, and 16.47 meters. However, these efforts went in vain after Praveen ultimately secured the third-place finish on the podium with a jump of 16.68.
