T20 World Cup 2024: After the 2023 ODI World Cup concludes, cricket fans can look forward to another exciting ICC event in June 2024; the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 . The competition, which has a unique framework, will allow 20 teams to participate internationally. Following the conclusion of the Africa Qualifier, Namibia and Uganda confirmed their places in the T20 World Cup, completing the roster for the championship that the USA and the West Indies will co-host.

Looking into the team specifics of the T20 World Cup 2024: 

Automatic qualification was granted to the top eight teams—England, Pakistan, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, and the Netherlands—from the T20 World Cup 2022.

Being the host countries, USA and West Indies, accompany them. 

As of November 14, 2022, Afghanistan and Bangladesh earned a spot as the next best-ranked unqualified teams.

Eight additional teams secured entries through regional qualifiers: Scotland, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Oman, Canada, Namibia, and Uganda.

T20 World Cup 2024 Format:

There will be four groups consisting of five teams each, from the twenty qualified teams. Teams will face one another in a 'round-robin format', with the top two teams from each group will qualify to the Super 8 round.

T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 Stage:

For the Super 8 stage, the eight qualifying teams will be divided into two groups of four each. Every team will play against the other teams in their group in a round-robin format. Now, the top 2 teams from both groups will proceed to the semi-finals, ultimately deciding the finalists of the T20 World Cup 2024.
